Olympic Sports Camp - A Great Success

Mike Liptrot with the support of South Lakeland District Council organised a week long training camp to introduce young athletes to some of the Olympic Sports.
He got the support of some of the top coaches in the area - Sue Aitkin (Swimming), Paul Coulfield (Athletics), Mike Ray (Fencing), Laura Clark (Flexibility), Alan Willoughby (Boxing, three times Olympian Fitzroy Walker (Wrestling) and Mike himself (Judo & Weight Lifting) to teach the rudiments of each sport.
Thirty plus children who took part in the activities spread over the week and both the participants and the coaches said they had really enjoyed the experience.
