Other Information

Kendal Judo Club have always tried to run “innovative” competitions as well as the more “conventional” events. For a number of years we have run a Mon Grade competition for beginners in which we have ignored the normal weight categories and fought players of similar weight and ability together in a pool of four or five. This, we have found, to be a fun, no pressure way of introducing judoka into competitive judo that some of the bigger events cannot do. With this event we are expanding the concept.

To help us prepare for the competition, on the entry form you will see a space to put the competitor’s body weight in kilos. Although we will check the weights on the day, please try to be as accurate as possible.

Booking In / Weighing In: As this is an untried event we are going to see what the entry is like and a week before the event will put the booking in times for each category on our WEB Site – www.kendaljudoclub.co.uk so that players will not be waiting for a long period of time before fighting.
You are of course welcome to attend before this time.
