Working closely with Sport England, National Governing Bodies of Sport and other sporting bodies that work across the county, Cumbria Sport Partnership is the lead for expertise and sports policy development in the county.

We align the work of the Partnership with the Governments Policy and outcomes in sport and related areas including Every Child Matters, Youth Matters and Choosing Health.

Our work is focused on ensuring that people throughout Cumbria will have or be:

More Aware of the value of sport and physical activity in improving their lives.
More opportunities to enjoy taking part in sport and physical activity.
More active by taking part more often.
Healthier as a result of increased activity levels.
More Skilled and Successful as participants, as a workforce and in life.
Safer in their communities.
More integrated in their corporate activities.
More investment in sport and physical activity.
More evidence to inform all the above outcomes.
